Michael Jackson was a man. He was not feminine - and no, he was not gay.
The man totally defied typical American conventions of masculinity and sexuality, and people still don’t know how to process someone like him.Just because a man is slim and not “ripped”, just because he doesn’t objectify women, just because he has a soft speaking voice, just because he’s shy, just because he is pretty, just because he isn’t afraid to be silly and act like a kid, just because he writes lovely songs about healing the world instead of writing about how juicy some bitch’s ass is, just because he doesn’t have a new woman hanging on his shoulder every week — does NOT make him any less of a MAN; does NOT make him feminine.
He stood up for what he believed in - always. Even when what he believed in drew ridicule, scorn, hatred from thousands of people.
He respected everyone, regardless of race, religion, color, gender, sexuality.
He gave thousands upon thousands of dollars to charity without a word to anyone - no bragging, no flaunting. He did it because he cared.
He loved his mother, his kids, his family. He loved and even respected his father after openly admitting to the entire world that he beat him and told him things a father should never tell his son.
And let’s not forget the fact that millions (millions!) of women all over the world lusted after him, fainted for him, would have given anything to be in his presence.
RESPECT, DIGNITY, PRIDE, COMPASSION - he had all of these things in spades.
If that isn’t a real man, then I don’t want a real man.

Space hotel says it’s on schedule to open in 2012
BARCELONA (Reuters) – A company behind plans to open the first hotel in space says it is on target to accept its first paying guests in 2012 despite critics questioning the investment and time frame for the multi-billion dollar project.
The Barcelona-based architects of The Galactic Suite Space Resort say it will cost 3 million euro ($4.4 million) for a three-night stay at the hotel, with this price including an eight-week training course on a tropical island.
During their stay, guests would see the sun rise 15 times a day and travel around the world every 80 minutes. They would wear velcro suits so they can crawl around their pod rooms by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman.
Galactic Suite Ltd’s CEO Xavier Claramunt, a former aerospace engineer, said the project will put his company (http://www.galacticsuite.com) at the forefront of an infant industry with a huge future ahead of it, and forecast space travel will become common in the future.
“It’s very normal to think that your children, possibly within 15 years, could spend a weekend in space,” he told Reuters Television.
A nascent space tourism industry is beginning to take shape with construction underway in New Mexico ofSpaceport America, the world’s first facility built specifically for space-bound commercial customers and fee-paying passengers.
British tycoon Richard Branson’s space tours firm, Virgin Galactic, will use the facility to propel tourists into suborbital space at a cost of $200,000 a ride.
Galactic Suite Ltd, set up in 2007, hopes to start its project with a single pod in orbit 450 km (280 miles) above the earth, traveling at 30,000 km per hour, with the capacity to hold four guests and two astronaut-pilots.
It will take a day and a half to reach the pod - which Claramunt compared to a mountain retreat, with no staff to greet the traveler.
“When the passengers arrive in the rocket, they will join it for 3 days, rocket and capsule. With this we create in the tourist a confidence that he hasn’t been abandoned. After 3 days the passenger returns to the transport rocket and returns to earth,” he said.
More than 200 people have expressed an interest in traveling to the space hotel and at least 43 people have already reserved.
The numbers are similar for Virgin Galactic with 300 people already paid or signed up for the trip but unlike Branson, Galactic Suite say they will use Russian rockets to transport their guests into space from a spaceport to be built on an island in the Caribbean.
But critics have questioned the project, saying the time frame is unreasonable and also where the money is coming from to finance the project.

Crying Again
Jackson’s last rehearsal wrapped just ten hours before his death. Those who were there that day say that, with less than three weeks left to go until opening night in London, Jackson left that night feeling confident and strong. “We were walking to our cars at about 12:30,” Phillips says. “He put his arms around me, and, in that little, lilting voice of his, he said, ‘Thank you for getting me this far. Now I can take it from here. I know I can do this.’ I think it was the first time that, in his heart and soul, he accepted that he could come back, and that he could be great again.”
Things like this just make me wonder…as tragic as everything is, it’s all part of life’s plan. I miss him everyday, I wish he was still here, but something tells me that if he still was and if he got to go through with everything, the media and people would have torn him. I’m happy he didn’t have to experience that, and I’m glad he left feeling like he was on top of the world, or at least getting there. I really do believe everything happens for a reason, but the man that did this needs to be punished, but he will get what he deserves, whether it’s in this life or the next.
